While in the Thousand Islands region in Ontario last week, we had to visit the famous Pumpkinferno exhibition at Upper Canada Village. This is a spectacular outdoor exhibition featuring 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins lit up along a one-kilometer path in a picturesque 19th-century setting.
During a walking tour of about 1 hour, you will discover sets on different themes, each represented by several carved pumpkins that come together to create a scene. Of course, real pumpkins will not hold for an event that will last a month. Thus, the artists use artificial pumpkins. The experience is no less magical!
BONUS: dogs are allowed on the Upper Canada Village site!
